Definition

Everyone has heard about brainstorming but very few people know what it entails, and many think it only consists in writing down free-thought ideas. However, it is a lot more than this.

This technic can be used in almost any field or area. It is a very inclusive technique. All you need is a group of people involved in the initiative in order to begin.

Brainstorming gathers a group of people in order to come up with new and innovative ideas in a creative way. The goal here is to find the best solution to a problem or issue. With this way of thinking, no thought is considered wrong or unsuitable: All are kept until the team decides to eliminate some of them.

Brainstorming is also a lot of fun and most people enjoy the spontaneity and creativity it allows. This boundary-less environment encourages participants to lose their inhibitions as they generate thoughts, ideas, and solutions. The results can be surprising, impressive, and even out-of-the-box.
